Hi

I was making a head in maya and then using a displacement map form mudbox on it in maya 8.5. I then moved on to using maya 2008. I got the head rendering the same as it looked in mudbox with maya 8.5, but if I open that scene in maya 2008 and render it looks like its displacing more than it should and i am also loosing much of detail my detail. Can someone please tell me what is going on. All I can think is that maya tries to smooth out the look or something like the aproximation editor.

Thanks

Ok also just saw that if I use a software render it looks the same as in maya 8.5 so the problem is only when I use 2008
It is not a issue with the alpha offset cause I got a nice value that works in 8.5 and also in the software render of 2009
