Full Version: No Motion Blur When Rendering Via Bat File Versus Selection Batch Render In Maya?

I created a simple .BAT file to render multiple Maya 2008 scenes for me that looks like this:

QUOTE
render 050_around_the_bend-final.ma
render 051_scared_mouse-final.ma
render 060_run_mouse_run-final.ma
render 068_chain_reaction-final.ma
...

There are no options specified because all the settings are in the Render Globals window of each file. When I render these on the command line using this .BAT file, there is no motion blur on the output images and my moving character is not anti-aliased. However, using the exact same settings while actually in Maya, I can select Render > Batch Render and it works just fine. I'm using mental ray's "Production : Motion Blur" preset with motion blur set to "No Deformation".

Tried specifying the "-mb 1" argument, but then the output image really went to crap.

Thanks for the help!

Found this post and have now put "-r mr" to explicitly specify the mental ray renderer (though i remember it saying it was using mental ray before).

However, now the command-line doesn't give me any usefulfeedback (i.e. what frame it is on), and just prints out the warnings. Can't win them all...

you probably want to manually set the verbosity flag -v 1-5
