I recently upgraded Max 4 to version 4.26 w/Intel optimizations along with upgrading to version 2.5 of Meshtools. I had no problems with version 2.3 of Meshtools when I was using Max 4.0. I followed the instructions on installing 2.5 and deleted all the other previous versions of Meshtools before installing 2.5.
I'm wondering if anyone else is having the same problems with Max 4.26 and Meshtools 2.5 or if it is just me.
What are the problems that you encounter? Do you get error messages?
Is it all of them, or just some tools that are not working?
cheers,

When I delete half of a box, then mirror it to a reference object, select both objects and then try the tools, they don't work. They will work however when I only have one side selected, something I wasn't trying before the first post. This is only after I re-load the custom menus though. For some reason they don't like to work after I try that.
After messing with it a little more, I've gotten them to work. I was just trying to use them when having both a real object and the reference object selected. Not a big problem.

I am also having problems with meshtools 2.5. No matter what I choose, all flavors of divide, erase and flatten are grey and can not be used. I am using max 4.2.
Thank you,

Well, yes, I implemented an object count checking at the context-sensitivity definition part of the script. Since in most cases, they cannot be used in situations where you have more than one object selected. I didn't think about reference or instance objects being selected.
my bad...

When they are greyed out, it means that in the current context they cannot be used. You most probably try to used them on editable mesh objects, but nearly all of the tools are editable poly only. Convert the object to editable poly , by right-clicking and in the lower-right quad hit ConvertTO->EditablePoly

The name MESHtools confused me. I thought they were for editable meshes. Thanks a lot! This seems like a very nice set of tools,
Stefan Persson
No wonder about the name-confusion... I should have changed it a good while ago...
