Hi there,

I'm creating an animation in wich a human head is created out of particles (spheres).
I have a 3dmodel for the head, to use its texture(placement) for the particles.
So eg. the eye is projected on some of the particles. The problem is, that when i move the
particle, the texture doesnt move with it, so the sphere looses its eye.
Question is: How do i freeze the textureplacement on the particles, so the texture sticks
to them? Or, is there another way to create the effect i described above?

Thanx for reading this, so will u (please??) help me?

How are you projecting your texture on to your particles????

Top of the head suggestions

Use instanced spheres in your particle system with their own mapping

If you have use of either Sandblaster or Particle Studio you could just 'disintegrate' your head and retain the mapping as was on your original head. (In theory you could also do this with Max's own PArray though the way it 'explodes' objects could be said to leave something to be desired, then again, I have heard of people finding workarounds for this.)
