Hi! Is there any software for buildinga list of model previews (like a thumbnail pic) if I want to create my own 3d model library???

3dExplorer by www.righthemisphere.com will do it.
Not sure on the price though.
Try the asset manager in utils.
Won't make pics i think, but u do a preview.

In addition to the Max Asset Browser/Manager the standard Windows Explorer (under Win2K) will do this just fine. By default .max files expose a thumbnail preview as a property that is visible to the Explorer.
Just select View->Thumbnails in the Explorer.
There are other more sophisticated asset management programs that can see Max file properties including the thumbnail preview. Eg the aformentioned 3D Exploration Enterprise Edition from Right Hemisphere and PG Studio from Pepper's Ghost. (I'm sure there are others.)
Plus .max file properties can be accessed from any VB scriptable application such as Excel.

html is easyest for us, our I.T. guy set up an easy uploading program...it has a pict, description, and a dl link...its awwwwesome.
plus, anyone in the company can use it.
